Inferno Protocol Guides

How to survive a maze that will not stay still.

Last updated:

Guides Hub

This hub is the map of every Inferno Protocol tutorial on the wiki. The game does not give you a trustworthy in-world map, so the pages below have to do that work: how to start, how to aim, how to talk without feeding the things that hunt you, and how to spend creature parts instead of dying with a full backpack.

Inferno Protocol is a first-person survival horror from Tektonic Interactive. You play on Steam, on Windows, either alone or in online co-op with up to six people. Early Access began 28 August 2026 with three maze layers — Junkyard, Jungle, and Swamp — a central settlement, harvesting, crafting, traps, and injectors. The studio’s own line is the one you should tape above your monitor: memory is your map, and marks are your guide.

If you are brand new, open the getting started guide first, then the dedicated prologue walkthrough. Bindings live in controls. Squads should read co-op before proximity chat. Solo players should open the solo guide.

What these guides are for

Search traffic splits into honest jobs: how to play after the trailer, how to finish the Prologue, how to find an exit, how to harvest and trap, how to survive alone, how to protect a camp, and how to spend injectors without ruining a run.

Each child page owns one job:

  • Getting started — first session and settlement reset.
  • Prologue — mandatory tutorial descent, marks, QTEs.
  • How to find the exit — depth, lying maps, Stop Maze Turning.
  • Maze navigation — spray, chalk, notebooks, compass failure.
  • Maze layers — Junkyard, Jungle, Swamp, Winter/Desert calendar.
  • Co-op — six-player voice, walkies, roles, lobby friction.
  • Combat — melee stagger, firearms, day-night interiors.
  • Settlement — traders, cooking, beds, hostile camps.
  • Harvesting — bones, armor, flesh, organs.
  • Traps — plant, retreat, bear traps, teleport tricks.
  • Solo — alone in a maze that still hears you.
  • Controls — keyboard, mouse, full controller support.
  • Crafting — craft-from-stash, cooking, building.
  • Injectors — labeled serums and unlabeled gambles.
  • Generators and Night Gates — power, layer gates, day-night timing, and /imstuck.

The PC nav dropdown shows eight guides; everything else lives here under View all. Rankings sit in weapons, injectors, and enemies. Hardware is system requirements and settings. Buying questions are on the Early Access buyer’s guide. Shipped changes are in patch notes.

How to use the hub during Early Access

Early Access is not 1.0. Three layers are playable now; four more biomes are promised across roughly nine to twelve months. Guides true in August 2026 can be incomplete in winter. We rewrite from Steam news.

First-weekend order:

  1. System requirements.
  2. Getting started and prologue.
  3. Controls and settings.
  4. Co-op or solo.
  5. Maze navigation and combat.
  6. Harvesting, traps, crafting, injectors.

What we will not invent

No fake YouTube IDs, gift codes, or full item spreadsheets Tektonic has not published. Lobby kicks and floor holes are Early Access reports, not guaranteed mechanics.

If you only open one page besides this hub, make it getting started. If you only open two, add prologue or how to find the exit.
